I was thrilled to have Michael Solomon, Founder and President of the I.E.E.N.I. Foundation visit the Bragg Farm this week. Michael has been a big Bragg fan for years and Michael shared his important message about his non-profit Foundation. We want to bring awareness to his cause we hope you can join in and help him.
The I.E.E.N.I. Foundation (International Essene Educational Network, Inc.) is a nonprofit, stewardship project that provides a sustainable green living standard for the local people of the Vilcabamba Valley and the Amazon Rain Forest of Ecuador. Their mission is to raise awareness of the threat of encroachment by commercial interests which are harming the environment, culture and lifestyle of the indigenous peoples who live on these lands.
The goal of I.E.E.N.I. is to raise $3.5 million to buy this 400 acres by July 3rd, 2010. With this purchase they want to preserve 400 acres of the Vilcabamba Valley which is located in the southern mountains of Ecuador.

Hurrah to those who donate! It is such good work that Michael / IEENI are doing to SAVE THE PLANET. it is not just 400 acres in Ecuador that will benefit, but the world as the Rainforest is the “LUNGS OF THE PLANET” providing clean oxygen to the atmosphere. It is also the provider of magical botanicals that heal sickness.
To protect this part of the world is protecting our future …and our past as those PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE are some of the only tribes left on the planet who are not suffering diseases of westernization– although they have begun to mostly due to big oil polluting their water supplies. It makes be sick that these beautiful people are the western world’s victims. Our donations (and we have SO MUCH for ourselves) are the Rainforest Tribe Population SURVIVAL. It is not all about Xbox, Wii, a new pair of $800 shoes or a 2nd home; this is about preserving HUMANS AND THE PLANET!
SO GLAD YOU PITCHED IN PATRICIA!
