OVERWEIGHT KIDS RISK WEAK BONES, DIABETES
Overweight children who are at risk for developing diabetes before puberty also face greater odds for having weak bones, a new study indicates.

Nearly one in three overweight adolescents don’t think they have a weight problem.
A new study shows that nearly a third of adolescents who would be classified in medical terms as overweight do not think they are overweight. Researchers also found significantly more boys than girls had misperceptions about their weight.
