I am so proud of my friend Katy Perry who has one more hit song, TEENAGE DREAM, on the top of the charts this sum­mer. Katy Perry came back to her home­town of Santa Bar­bara, Cal­i­for­nia to film the video for her new hit song.

It has been mag­nif­i­cent to see Katy Perry grow into her huge suc­cess as a singer. It seems like only yes­ter­day when I arranged for the young Katy to sing “God Bless Amer­ica” at a large Sta­dium in Los Ange­les on the 4th of July in 1996.  She was only 12 years old then, but she was a big hit and I knew that she would become a big star one day.
