1 carrot, grate
1 turnip, grate
3 radishes, slice
2 apples, core, chop
Fresh lemon juice (to taste)
Bragg Sprinkle (to taste)
2 Tbsps green peas, shelled
1 tomato
1 cup mixed baby lettuce, torn
Bragg Ginger & Sesame Dressing
Put carrot, turnip, apple and sliced radishes in salad bowl. Add lettuce leaves and green peas. Cut un-peeled tomato into small pieces. Mix in with vegetables and lettuce. Add Sprinkle and lemon juice. Toss with Ginger Dressing (to taste).
Serves 2–4.

CARROT, APPLE, RAISIN SALAD
½ cup fresh or dried coconut
½ cup raw almonds,
¼ cup fresh lemon or orange juice
3–4 apples, core, chop
grate ½ cup raisins or currants
slice (optional) 4 cups carrots, grate
1¼ tsp raw honey
Mix carrots and apples with fresh lemon or orange juice and honey. Add coconut, almonds and raisins or currants.
Mix thoroughly. Serves 4–6.

APPLE — CINNAMON SAUCE
¾ cup organic apple juice
¼ cup distilled water
⅛ tsp cinnamon powder
2 Tbsps kudzu root starch
Place all ingredients in saucepan, mix well, and bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to avoid lumping. Just as boiling occurs, mixture turns into a clear, shiny sauce. Allow to cool. For use over a fresh fruit compote or fruit salad.

SWEETS IN BAKED APPLES
2 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil
3 large apples
2 Tbsps raw honey
2 Tbsps raisins
2 medium cooked yams (or sweet potatoes), mash
Cut a slice from top of each apple, and core. Scoop out inside of apples. Scallop edge with a sharp knife, as desired. Combine olive oil, mashed sweet potatoes, honey and raisins. Mix well. Fill apple shells. Place in baking dish with a small amount of water. Bake at 375°F for 20–30 minutes.

PURÉE OF MINTED APPLES
2 cups apples, core and quarter (peel, optional)
4 Tbsps mint leaves, mince
½ cup raisins (optional)
1 Tbsp raw honey
3 Tbsps distilled water
Cook apples until tender. Add mint and raisins if desired during last 5 minutes of cooking. Purée in blender with liquid, adding honey if desired. Top with soy or nut cream.

SPINACH, APPLE AND RED ONION SALAD
1–2 bunches of spinach, tear
½ tsp Bragg Liquid Aminos
1 apple, core, chop
shake of Bragg Sprinkle
1 red onion, slice thin
3 Tbsps Bragg Organic Olive Oil
raw honey (optional)
3 Tbsps freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 cloves garlic, mincec
For dressing: combine garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, Liquid Aminos, honey (optional) and Sprinkle. In salad bowl, toss spinach, onion and apples and add this dressing.
Serves 4.

However, many varieties are available year round because they have been either kept in cold storage or imported from the Southern Hemisphere.
