We received a let­ter from the kinder­garten teacher at Santa Bar­bara Char­ter School where we donated apples from the Bragg Organic Farm recently. The let­ter thanked us for the apples, but what was most spe­cial was the hand­writ­ten let­ter from the stu­dents say­ing, “Thank you!” and was signed in crayon by these lovely young peo­ple! I couldn’t resist shar­ing it with you! Here it is:

We also received a let­ter from Dave Weis­man who is the Direc­tor of Oper­a­tions at the school and he wrote:

“Dear Ms. Bragg,

On behalf of the stu­dents, fam­i­lies and staff at Santa Bar­bara Char­ter School, thank you so much for your gen­er­ous con­tri­bu­tion of the box of organic apples. We use them to sup­ple­ment children’s lunches or for healthy snacks, or for chil­dren who for­got lunch. To be able to offer kids a lovely apple fits per­fectly with our cul­ture here at SBCS.

Again, thank you from all of our stu­dents, fam­i­lies and staff of the Santa Bar­bara Char­ter School.”

And I say, “Thank you!” to Dave for allow­ing us to share our boun­ti­ful apples with such an appre­cia­tive and note­wor­thy group of edu­ca­tors, fam­i­lies and students.
