PATÉ OF SEEDS
1 cup raw pumpkin seeds
1 cup raw sunflower seeds
1 medium red onion, chop
1 tsp Bragg Liquid Aminos
½ cup basil, chop
shake of Bragg Sprinkle
Soak pumpkin and sunflower seeds for 6–12 hours. This gives them the desired taste and texture. It also starts the sprouting process, which improves the nutritional value of the seeds and aids digestion. Drain, rinse thoroughly, and drain again. Put the soaked seeds and all the remaining ingredients in a food processor fitted with a metal blade. Process until smooth. Mound the paté in the center of a serving dish, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. This paté will keep up to 2 days in the refrigerator. Makes 2 cups.
