PATÉ OF SEEDS

1 cup raw pump­kin seeds
1 cup raw sun­flower seeds
1 medium red onion, chop
1 tsp Bragg Liq­uid Aminos
½ cup basil, chop
shake of Bragg Sprinkle

Soak pump­kin and sun­flower seeds for 6–12 hours. This gives them the desired taste and tex­ture. It also starts the sprout­ing process, which improves the nutri­tional value of the seeds and aids diges­tion. Drain, rinse thor­oughly, and drain again. Put the soaked seeds and all the remain­ing ingre­di­ents in a food proces­sor fit­ted with a metal blade. Process until smooth. Mound the paté in the cen­ter of a serv­ing dish, cover, and refrig­er­ate for at least 1 hour before serv­ing. This paté will keep up to 2 days in the refrig­er­a­tor. Makes 2 cups.
