ACUPUNCTURE RELAXES NERVOUS DENTAL PATIENTS

Filed under: Health News,Patricia Bragg — admin @ 8:00 AM

Acupuncture needles stuck into two strategic spots on the head may reduce anxiety levels of highly nervous dental patients, new research indicates.

The needles induce relaxation and reduce fear that all but paralyzes some people facing dental treatments, say researchers from England and Denmark.

  1. Acupuncture is a good thing, but as for relieving anxiety due to dental procedures; You see I deathly afraid of needles in the first place. The military has a note on my records to cover my eyes before bring out the need or you would be using any anesthetic at all. They finished one tooth once after just one shot, and I bared the pain for the fear. I actually love them cleaning my teeth no matter how rough they get, and the drilling is nothing most of the time.

So, “laughing”, what will get me past the anxiety of getting acupuncture needles used on me?
