Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell

Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell

SEEMS AS IF ELEANOR POWELL WAS JUST TOO GOOD FOR FRED ASTAIRE AS HE NEVER WANTED TO BE PAIRED WITH HER AGAIN. HE EVIDENTLY WAS PLAYED DOWN BY HER. BUT THEY WERE BOTH GREAT.

Frank Sinatra said we will not see the likes of this again. Certainly not on Dancing with the Stars and Eleanor Powell is fully clothed with a dress below her knees. Sadly a bygone era of civility and grace. The dancers are Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell.

 2. The year: 1940 (71 years ago)

3. The narrator is Frank Sinatra.

4. It was filmed in ONE unedited camera shot! Amazing!

It is considered by many as one of the best dance scenes ever filmed.

Can Taking Calcium With Other Minerals Help Prevent Bowel Cancer?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:00 AM

Can Taking Calcium With Other Minerals Help Prevent Bowel Cancer?

Bowel cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in developed countries but occurs much less frequently in the developing world. A high fat diet, particularly high in saturated fat, can increase a person’s risk of developing bowel cancer. In addition to the high content of saturated fat, the ‘typical’ Western diet contains only low levels of calcium and other minerals.

“The link between diet and cancer is a difficult topic to research as we all eat such a wide variety of foods in lots of different amounts. We know that a diet low in fiber but high in red and processed meats like sausages increases the risk of bowel cancer.

“Fruit and vegetables give us most of our fiber, vitamins and minerals and in general a diet rich in fruit and vegetables seems to be associated with a lower risk of bowel cancer. However, many people do not eat the recommended ‘5-a day’ when it comes to fruit and vegetables and the ‘typical’ Western diet contains only low levels of calcium and other minerals.”
